UFH Opening Date For 2026 Applications

The six faculties of the University of Fort Hare (UFH) are already accepting applications for the 2026 academic year! Apply online before the deadline to enroll in undergraduate or graduate programs at UFH. Applications submitted after the deadline are not assured.

South African Applicants: R120
International Applicants: R500 (for manual applications)

Admission Requirements

Before applying, make sure you meet UFH’s admission criteria for your chosen program. If you’re currently in Grade 12, UFH will use your mid-year results for provisional acceptance and your final results for confirmation.

For National Senior Certificate (NSC) applicants writing through IEB or SACAI, please select “National Senior Certificate” during your application process.

How to Apply Online to UFH (University of Fort Hare)

To apply to study at the University of Fort Hare for the 2026 academic intake:

Visit the UFH Online Application portal.
Select and click on “Apply Now” at the top-right of the homepage.
Check the online application checklist and student guide to ensure you have all the required information and documents.
Select your citizenship status.
Enter your identity number.
Accept the terms and conditions.
Provide your name, contact details, and address.
Populate all sections of the application form.
Fill in all mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk (*).
You can save your progress and return later to complete the application.
Select your study courses.
Provide your academic qualifications.
Complete and submit your application online.
The deadline for applications is November 30th, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
Pay the application fee according to your citizenship status.
