University of Limpopo 2026 Application Guide: Steps and Requirements

Be sure to submit your University of Limpopo application according to the dates below to be considered for the 2026 intake

Application Opening Date: Tuesday, April 1, 2025
Closing Date: October 30, 2025 (Late applications may be accepted depending on space availability in January 2026)
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery: September 28, 2025
Postgraduate Certificate in Education: October 31, 2025
Submission of supporting documents: Midnight of the closing date

Document Requirements for UL 2026 Applications

You will require the documents listed below based on your citizenship.

For Domestic Students:

A copy of your most recent school results (Grade 12 or equivalent)
A copy of your South African ID
If you have previously attended another higher education institution, a copy of your academic transcript
Proof of payment for the application fee

For International Students:

A valid passport and identification pages
Transcript or the latest academic results
Proof of registration at your home university (if applicable)
Proof of medical insurance

N.B.: Ensure all the documents above are certified and scanned before you submit them.

UL Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of R200 for domestic students and R750 for international students must be deposited into the University of Limpopo Standard Bank account: 030131405. Use your identity number (ID card/passport) as the reference. Failure to provide proof of payment will result in the rejection of your application.

How to Apply Online for UL 2026

To apply online to study at the University of Limpopo:

Strong internet connectivity is required
Go to www.ul.ac.za to apply online
Log in on the Ienabler
Go to the academic application
View application rules and click accept
Go to the school attended, Select the School Name, and save
Enter School leaving subjects
Go to Disabilities and click Name
select the choices and click save
Go to submit an application
Enter your academic preference qualification, save, and continue
Ensure to pay your application fee before you proceed
Upload the required documents, save and continue
Finally, submit your fully completed application form by clicking on the Finished

How to Check Your UL Application Status

To track the status of your application at the University of Limpopo:

Go to the official University of Limpopo website.
Enter your student ID and PIN after selecting Admission Status on the left side of the page.
Select “Login.”

Registration for 2026 at UL

Online registration for the 2026 academic year will open to all new students accepted for the intake. The registration period typically runs from January to February of the year of study.
