When can I apply for NWU 2024-2025

Since space is limited for the academic year, knowing when to apply to North-West University is critical. April 1, 2023, not March 1, 2023, is the online application opening date for North-West University. Whatever qualification you seek or apply for in 2024, you may not be able to access the North-West University application portal on March 1, 2023, but rather on April 1, 2023. North-West University’s online undergraduate and postgraduate applications will be open on April 1, 2023, and will close on August 31, 2023.

All post-secondary school prospects will be able to apply for undergraduate or postgraduate courses at North-West University beginning April 1, 2023, for the academic year 2024-2025. The online application form for North-West University will close on August 31, 2023, with no additional application window or late applications available depending on the course you wish to apply for, as some courses have a closing date earlier than August 31st.

When to Submit NWU Application DOCUMENTS in 2024-2025

The timely submission of your supporting documents does not guarantee admission but increases your chances. North-West University must receive all supporting documents by August 31, 2023. You may submit your application form without the supporting documents; however, the missing documents must be submitted by August 31, 2023.

North-West University Online Application for 2024 is open on 01 April 2023 for all students who want to advance their education beginning in 2024. North-West University’s online application closes on August 31, 2023. Late applications will not be accepted.

By the specified closing dates, North-West University must receive a fully completed application form, as well as recently certified (no older than one year) copies of your original identity document, (National) Senior Certificate, and/or highest academic results.

The application is free for South African Applicants and R550 for international students. This must be paid before you can submit the online application.

All applicants should provide the following supporting documents for application:

Grade 12 results, Grade 11 results (final results only)
copy of your matric certificate – if you have already passed matric.
Copy of an Applicant’s Identity document
Copy of Applicant’s academic record (if applicable).
Applicants currently upgrading their grade 12 results, will only be considered after the improved results are presented to the NWU.
Applicants who follow Cambridge, GED, or any other non-NSC curriculum, or who may qualify for exemption based on advanced age or post-school qualifications, must provide an exemption certificate as issued by USAF.

The online application for the January 2024 intake at North-West University will close on October 31, 2023. Walter Sisulu University’s online application deadline is August 31, 2023. All undergraduate and postgraduate online applications will close on August 31, 2023. Late applications will only be considered if there are still courses available.
