Tshwane University of Technology has announced the application fees for the 2025/2026 academic year. If you’re a first-time applicant applying online for an undergraduate or postgraduate program, you’ll need to pay an application fee before submitting your application. Remember, applications without the fee won’t be considered and could be rejected.

The application fee must be paid before your application form is completed. The application form must be attached with a copy of the payment receipt. Keep the original payment confirmation in a safe place. This is a requirement that all applicants must abide by.
TUT Application Fee Required for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs (2025-2026)
Attention all prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students at TUT! Starting in 2025-2026, a non-refundable application fee of R240 will be required for all online applications. This fee is mandatory and must be submitted with your application form. Failure to pay the fee will result in your application being rejected. Remember, even if you’re admitted, the application fee is non-refundable. So make sure to include the fee with your application to avoid any delays or issues.
Minimum amounts payable before registration:
- R1,500 registration fee
- The R1,200 residence fee is payable only by confirmed residence students.• The minimum amounts payable during registration will be credited towards the relevant student fee account.

NSFAS applicants: All first-time entering students who applied directly to NSFAS before the closing date of 31 January 2024 for funding in 2024, will upon confirmation from NSFAS, be allowed to register without paying the upfront registration fees. NSFAS is currently processing applications and confirmation of the results will be available once received from NSFAS. Only students confirmed for admission with a firm academic offer from the University will qualify for NSFAS
