How to Apply Online at UNISA 2026

To apply for 2026 admission at UNISA, follow these steps

Step 1: Go to the official UNISA website at www.unisa.ac.za.

Step 2: Click on the “Apply” tab in the main menu.

Step 3: Choose the appropriate application option (undergraduate, postgraduate, or research) based on your academic level.

Step 4: Select “Start the process” and click on “Proceed to ODEL & Unisa.”

Step 5: Click “Apply now” to access the application tool.

Step 6: Choose your desired qualification

Step 7: Enter your details

Step 8: Select your first and second-choice qualifications and click “Continue.”

Step 9: Confirm the selected qualifications, correct any errors, and then click “Continue.”

Step 10: Key in your ID number and click “Continue.”

Step 11: Enter your contact details and funding options, and click “Continue.”

Step 12: Fully complete all fields marked with an asterisk *.

Step 13: Upload the following documents

Copy of your school qualifications
Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

UNISA Application Closing Date – 2026

To apply to the University of South Africa, you have until the 14th of November 2025 at 11:59 to complete the application form, pay the non-refundable application fee of R135, and upload all application documents.
