Apply Online For Funza Lushaka 2023/2024

A multi-year program called the Funza Lushaka Bursary Program was created to support teaching as a profession. Bursaries are provided to selected students in order to assist them in obtaining teaching certifications in key subject areas. For the same number of years that they earned the stipend, beneficiaries of these bursaries will be required to work as teachers in a public school.

Who is eligible to apply?

Any academically gifted, young –

learners, currently in Grade 12;
graduates below the age of 30 who want to complete a teaching qualification or enroll for a PGCE;
people below the age of 30 who want to make a career change and become teachers; and
unemployed people below the age of 30 who want to become teachers.

Application dates

Applications for the Funza Lushaka bursary for 2023 will open on 01 October 2022 and closes on 01 February 2023
Re-applications for Existing/Returning Bursars close on 29/11/2022

Open the e-Gov portal at www.eservices.gov.za
Register by providing personal information
Log in to the system using the user name and password created when registering
On the e-Services Menu select Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme
Enter the OTP received on the preferred channel
Accept the Terms and Conditions
On the dashboard, menu click on the 2022 application button
Follow the steps to complete the required field with your information
Accept the declaration to confirm the information captured
