Late applications are only considered if accepted applicants decline an offer; otherwise, the university does not accept late applications. It is critical to update your contact information whenever necessary, as all communications will be via email and SMS. If your phone number or email address has recently changed, please update the application form with your new information before the deadline via www.cao.ac.za. You cannot amend or change any information on the application after the portal closes.

Submit Outstanding Documents Before 30 November
If you haven’t uploaded any of these documents yet, please do so right now. Any outstanding documents must be submitted by November 30th through the Central Application Office website/portal.
- Certified Copy of ID and Birth certificate
- Final Grade 11 Report (if you are in Grade 12) OR
- Highest qualification achieved
- Copy of study/residence permit (if you are a non-South-African applicant)
- Proof of Payment of Application Fee
- June Grade 12 Report (as soon as you receive it if you are currently in Grade 12)
- September/Trials Grade 12 Report (as soon as you receive it if you are currently in Grade 12)

How to Upload DUT Application Outstanding Documents
Follow the steps below as quickly as possible to upload all outstanding documents before the deadline via the central application office portal.
- Log on to the CAO website at www.cao.ac.za using your CAO or ID number.
- On the Home Page, click the ‘Upload My Document’ icon.
- Read the instructions to find out what you need ‘to log in to upload your documents’.
- Once logged in, follow the instructions to upload your papers and, if applicable, enter your examination results.
- Check to ensure that you have uploaded the relevant documents and entered the correct results, where needed.
- When you’re ready, click the ‘Submit My Documents’ button.
