Sol Plaatje University 2027 Application Period

The Sol Plaatje University (SPU) will generally accept applications for the 2027 academic year from 1 April to 30 September 2026.

This application period applies to both academic and residence applications and is open to domestic as well as international students. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications early, as spaces in both programmes and student residences are limited.

How to complete the application at SPU for 2027

All prospective applicants must complete this step before submitting an application form to SPU.

  3. Once you’ve finished filling out your bio, your student ID will show up on the screen.
  4. Apply, sign up, update personal data, and obtain academic and other data
  5. As a new potential student, create a pin.
  6. To continue with your application, log in, read, and then accept the applicable regulations.
  7. After selecting Application, select View Application Rules
  8. Enter your information (School Attended, School Leaving Subjects, Certificates)
  9. Type in Prior Qualification
  10. Any Impairments/disabilities ( The applicant must be precise)
  11. Personal Information Updates (e.g. If you require residence accommodation, etc.)
  12. Upload all the supporting documents
  13. Submit the finished application by clicking on the “Submit” tab.

Sol Plaatje University Courses and Entry Requirements

  • The University has set the minimum academic requirements for admission to Sol Plaatje University’s (SPU) study programmes in 2027.
