Applications to Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) for the 2027 academic year will open on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, and close on Wednesday, 30 September 2026. Please note that some programmes may have earlier closing dates due to high demand or specific selection requirements.

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) does not charge an application fee for online applications.
However, prospective students who choose to apply manually are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of R100 before their application can be processed. A copy of the proof of payment must be submitted together with the completed application form.
CPUT Late Application Fee: A non-refundable late application fee of R150 applies to applications submitted after the official closing date.

The admission requirements for the 2027 Grade 12 learners will be based on their final Grade 11 marks only, together with any additional programme-specific requirements (where applicable). Final acceptance to the programme will still be based on the final Grade 12 results.
Minimum admission requirements may be adjusted at the discretion of the Dean, subject to the approval of the Faculty Board and the Senate of the University.
