Nelson Mandela University Online Registration Open For 2026

Nelson Mandela University has launched its online registration gateway for all authorized and selected students for the 2026 academic year. If your application is accepted, there is no need to visit campus because the full registration procedure will be completed online. All students are encouraged to perform this final step to secure their NMU 2026 admission.

NMU 2026 Registration Now Open

The registration period for Nelson Mandela University (NMU) 2026 is now open, starting January 7, 2026, and will close on February 18, 2026. Late applications will be considered with an additional fee, and late registrations will close on March 4, 2026. Students are advised to register when they receive their acceptance letter to avoid delays.

Before you can register, these amounts must be paid

  • Degree Programmes, Postgraduate Diplomas, and Occasional Studies Full-time students  R 8900
  • Degree Programmes, Postgraduate Diplomas, and Occasional Studies Part-time students R 5100
  • Diploma/Certificate Programmes Full-time students        R 6300
  • Diploma/Certificate Programmes Part-time students       R 4400
  • Residences (students at all campuses) R R 6600

How to Register at Nelson Mandela University

Steps to follow to register online for the 2026 academic intake

  • Enter the university URL into your browser: https://www.mandela.ac.za/Registration
  • Select Register Now and login.
  • Select registration. This can be found at the top left of your screen.
  •  Select declaration by applicant. Please read and acknowledge the content and then select I accept. You have to
    complete this process before you will be allowed to continue with your registration. This is only applicable if this is your first online registration. Select register now
  •  Your qualification information for 2026 will be displayed.
  • Enter your employment status by selecting a value from the list. Save and continue.
  •  The modules for your qualification will be displayed. Make your selection from the text box on the left.
  • Select save and continue once you have selected the modules you want to register for. Note: you may only register for 120 credits or the annual total of your programme for any specific academic year.
  • Select Continue and view the modules selected.
  •  Select I accept to confirm the registration of modules.
  • Select Accept Registration to finalize your registration.
  • Your proof of registration will be displayed.
  • Print your proof of registration and exit the page
