Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is currently accepting applications for undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications for the 2027 academic intake. If you have strong academic credentials, you can apply for the January 2027 intake between 1 April and 30 September 2026. TUT offers well-established and internationally recognized programmes and has state-of-the-art facilities that make learning engaging and rewarding.

Materials Required to Apply
The following documents are required to complete your online application for the 2027 academic intake at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT):

Certified copy of your Senior Certificate / National Senior Certificate and any other relevant qualifications

Certified copy of your Grade 11 report (for applicants who have not yet completed Grade 12)

Proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee
Please note that sending these documents to TUT via fax or email is not required. After scanning the documents in PDF, DOC, DOCX, TIFF, PNG, JPG, or JPEG format, they must be uploaded directly through the official online application portal.
TUT Processing Fee
Prospective applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of R240.00 at ABSA Bank, using their identification number as the payment reference. Proof of payment must be uploaded by 30 September 2026 in order for your application to be considered for Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) 2027 admission.

To start the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) online application process for 2027, you need to follow the steps mentioned below.
- Visit the TUT website at www.tut.ac.za.
- Click on the “MENU” tab at the top of the homepage.
- From the drop-down list, select “Study at TUT.”
- Click on “I want to Study.”
- Carefully read the information on the screen.
- Click “What can I study” on the left to explore TUT’s programs and courses for 2027 and their specific admission requirements.
- Click on “Admission Point Score” to check if you meet the minimum AP Score for your chosen program.
- Click on “Admission Requirements” to view the general admission requirements at TUT.
- Upload all supporting documents
- Pay the application fee
- Upload the proof of payment

Steps to Track TUT Application Status for 2027
After submitting your application to Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), you will receive feedback via SMS and email within 3–5 weeks after the closing date. You can also track your application status online.

- Next, select the “Study at TUT” tab.
- Proceed to select and click on the “APPLY NOW” tab.
