All 50+ TVET colleges in South Africa are currently taking applications for the 2026 academic year. TVET Colleges welcome applications from all students, regardless of nationality or religious views, for the academic year 2026. There are two options for submitting the application form: online at the selected TVET institution or by downloading and filling out the application form by hand. What Documents Are Required to Apply to a TVET College for the Academic Year 2026?

Applicants to any of the Tvet Colleges in South Africa must present all of the following documents during the online or manual applications.

Domestic Applicants
- Birth Certificate or Identity document
- Certificates and academic qualifications
- Recent academic results
- Proof of Residence (Not older than 3 months)
- Valid phone number and email address
Foreign Applicants
- A valid study permit
- The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate

Incomplete applications lacking any of the required documentation will be rejected. All prospective applicants must submit a certified copy of each document in PDF format.

Interestingly, there are no application or administrative fees for enrolling in South Africa’s TVET Colleges.
