UCT Extends Application Deadline for the 2026 Academic Year

The University of Cape Town (UCT) has extended the application deadline for the 2026 academic year. The revised deadline is August 31, 2025, instead of July 31, 2025. Late applications will not be considered, and entries received after the extended deadline will be dismissed.

University of Cape Town (UCT) Application Fees for 2026

The University of Cape Town (UCT) requires the following application fees for 2024/2025:

Undergraduate and Postgraduate applications from South Africa and the SADC region: R100
Undergraduate and Postgraduate applications from outside the SADC region: R300
Graduate School of Business (GSB) applications from South Africa and African citizens/residents: R1,750
GSB applications from outside Africa: USD300

All applications should include the relevant fee for processing.

How to Apply for Admissions at the University of Cape Town

Check out uct.ac.za.
From the menu at the top, select “Applicants & Students.”
Go over the details that are presented.
From the list, choose “Prospective Students.”
Go ahead after reading the welcome message.
Next, select the “Applications” tab.
From the drop-down list, select “Apply.”
Select your degree (postgraduate or undergraduate).
Check and read the instructions for the application.
To begin, click “Apply Online.”
Fill out the application online.
Select the year of your application and your qualifications.
Press “Click here to continue” to move forward.
Attach the necessary files.

Paper Application Submission for UCT Undergraduate Admissions 2026

If you are unable to apply online, you may apply on paper to the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) undergraduate degree. Fill out the “2026 UCT Application Form” and submit it to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za before August 31, 2025. Mailing applications to the Admissions Office at the address below is another option.
