UCT Online Application Closing Dates 2024/2025

The University of Cape Town Management has announced the application deadlines for all undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate/distance/diploma applicants for the academic year 2024/2025. The school specified specific dates and deadlines for academic course registration and admission closure in order for them to analyze the submitted applications. As a candidate, you should be aware of the institution’s deadlines and closing dates, as they are critical to them.

  1. Applications for admission in 2023 open at 12:00 noon.
  2. The National Benchmark Tests (NBTs) registrations are open.
  

 

1 April 2023
The UCT Virtual Open Day is hosted on Microsoft Teams Live. 9 April 2023
 

1.       All undergraduate applications close.

2.       Applications for student housing close.

3.       The last date to write the NBTs if you wish to be considered for a conditional offer by the Faculty of Health Sciences.

4.       Preferred date for the submission of Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) portfolios.

Deadline for international applicants to attract an offer of admission. This is necessary to allow for sufficient time to obtain a study visa.

University of Cape Town Application Process

To apply online, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the UCT website: www.uct.ac.za online
  • At the top menu of the page, click on “Applicants & Students”
  • Please, read the information carefully.
  • Then, you click on “Prospective students” from the list of items on the page.
  • A welcome message from UCT will be displayed on the page. Kindly read the information and proceed
  • Go to “Applications” at the top menu of the “Prospective Students” page
  • Click on “Apply” from the drop-down list
  • Select  your qualification “Undergraduate or Postgraduate”
  • Read the Application instructions and proceed to the next stage
  • On the left side of the application instruction page, click on “Apply Online”
  • An online application page will be open for you
  • Then, select your qualification from the list (Undergraduate, Postgraduate, etc)
  • Read the information and select the year you are applying for
  • Click on “Click here to continue” to complete the application process
  • Submit your application for review.

PLEASE NOTE: Make sure to submit your application as soon as feasible, rather than waiting until the last possible moment. UCT access is in higher demand than the number of applications accepted into the programs (as controlled by the enrolment targets)
