For Students with a UJ Student Number:
Effortless Electronic Payments:
The University has partnered with First National Bank (FNB) to offer a dedicated “UJ Tuition Fee” account as a predefined beneficiary on most major banks’ online platforms, including Capitec Bank. This means you can set up quick and secure payments without manually entering account details.
Here’s how:
- Find the Predefined Beneficiary: Log in to your online banking platform and search for “predefined beneficiaries” or similar options.
- Select UJ Tuition Fee Account: Choose “University of Johannesburg First National Bank Tuition Fee” from the list.
- Save for Future Payments: Once you select the account, save it as a beneficiary for future transactions.
- Include Your Student Number: Ensure you use your STUDENT NUMBER as the reference for each payment.
Students with a valid UJ Student Number, using any FNB Cash accepting ATM
For Cash deposits: Use any First National Bank (FNB) cash-accepting ATM.
Select the card fewer services option on the ATM and deposit the amount payable.
How to use the ATM: Enter UJ as the recipient’s name in the First National Bank (FNB) box, followed by a space, and then choose the UJ tuition fees account.
Students with a valid UJ Student Number, using any FNB Branch
Visit any First National Bank (FNB) branch to make a payment into the UJ Tuition Fee Account.
The teller will direct you to effect the payment.
- Remember to use your STUDENT NUMBER for reference.
Students without a valid UJ student number, but a valid South African ID Number or Passport Number can use the following account
