Eligibility criteria for Online admissions to the Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) for the 2023/2024 academic year

Despite the fact that the application is open to the public, the university does not expect applications from a specific demographic. Typically, the application period is open to first-time (local or international) candidates and those whose previous applications were rejected. Students who are already enrolled in other tertiary institutions but wish to attend the Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) will be considered individually.

Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Entry Requirements

An international student seeking admission to the UniMAP must meet both the General Requirements and the additional course requirements. The general requirements for IIUM are listed below. Students must meet any of the following requirements.

Obtained the High School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalents and completed a minimum of 12 years of primary and secondary school; OR
Obtained at least three (3) principals in one sitting of the GCE Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) Examination [UK Educational System]. OR
Obtained the International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least six (6) subjects completed in one sitting; OR
Obtained a Diploma or any other equivalent qualification/s in the related field recognized by the Malaysian government and approved by the University’s Senate

English Language Requirements :

A minimum score of 500 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); OR
A minimum score of Band 5.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); OR
A minimum score of Band 3 in the Malaysia University English Test (MUET); OR

Any other language qualifications as equivalent to the above.

Please Note:

Candidates who do not meet the required language competency must undergo the English Preparatory and Pre-University Programme (EPPP) for seven months and pass MUET with a minimum score of Band 3.)
