What Documents Are Needed To Apply At WSU

Walter Sisulu University is accepting applications for the January 2025 intake, with the online application form opening on June 1, 2024, and closing on October 31, 2024. Late submissions may not be considered for the intake. Prospective applicants must complete the online application form and upload supporting documents from June 1, 2024, and submit all outstanding documents before the 31 October 2024 closing date. The university will only consider applications for undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications after submitting all required documents.

Walter Sisulu University Online Application Portal Open for 2025-2026

Walter Sisulu University’s online application portal for 2025 is now open for new applicants. To access the form, applicants must log in using their SA ID or passport number. The application will end on October 31, 2024, and the second window will be considered if courses are still available. All required documents must be uploaded via the portal or login before the following deadlines.

South African Students: The closing date is October 31st, 2024.
International Students: The closing date is September 30th, 2024.

Documents Required When Filling Out the WSU Online Application Form for 2025-2026

The WSU Online Application Form for 2025-2026 requires the following documents.

First Time Undergraduate Applicants

The “Old Senior” certificate
The National Senior Certificate “NSC”
National Certificate Vocational “NCV”
N6 certificate
Current grade 12 learners must upload Grade 11 final results and first quarter or mid-year results if available.
Post-matric candidates must upload a matric or equivalent certificate, academic record, copy of ID, or passport.
Some departments may consider mature age exemptions for admission to some programs. For more information, you may enquire from the Admissions Office at supportappl@wsu.ac.za.

Foreign Applicants

Foreign applicants must first apply to Universities in South Africa (USAF) to have their school results or other degree/diploma certificates evaluated. When you receive the results from the USAF, you can start the application process and upload the results as well as a copy of your passport.

Select the application package and begin your application
Complete the application by following the instructions
All fields with a red asterisk are compulsory. This means you will not be allowed to proceed if left blank or incorrect information is supplied.
Confirmation of receipt of the application is issued automatically once the process is completed and submitted.
Then, Upload all relevant supporting documents in their right format
