What documents are needed to apply at WSU

Walter Sisulu University is now accepting applications for the January 2024 intake. Walter Sisulu University’s online application form, which opened on April 1, 2023, will close on October 31, 2023. If you have not yet submitted your online admission form, please do so because late submissions may not be considered for the January 2024 intake.

Prospective Walter Sisulu University applicants must complete the online application form beginning April 1, 2023, and upload all supporting documents before the deadline of October 31, 2023. Your application to study for an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification will be considered only after you have submitted all required documents through the WSU online application system for the 2024 intake.

Walter Sisulu University Online Application portal Open for 2024-2025

Walter Sisulu University’s online application portal for 2024 is now open for new applicants to submit their information. To access the WSU application form, prospective applicants must log in to the portal using their SA ID or passport number. The WSU application login, which went live on April 1, 2023, will end on October 31, 2023, and the second window of the application will be considered only if there are still available courses.

Documents Required When Filling Out the WSU Online Application Form for 2024-2025

When applying to Walter Sisulu University for the 2024-2025 academic year, the following documents are required.

First Time Undergraduate Applicants

The “Old Senior” certificate
The National Senior Certificate “NSC”
National Certificate Vocational “NCV”
N6 certificate
Current grade 12 learners must upload Grade 11 final results and first quarter or mid-year results if available.
Post-matric candidates must upload a matric or equivalent certificate, academic record, copy of ID or passport.
Some departments may consider mature age exemptions for admission to some programmes. For more information, you may enquire from the Admissions Office at supportappl@wsu.ac.za.

Foreign Applicants

Foreign applicants must first apply to Universities in South Africa (USAF) to have their school results or other degree/diploma certificates evaluated. When you receive the results from the USAF, you can start the application process and upload the results as well as a copy of your passport.

Click on the study with us tab on the menu bar of the main page of wsu
Select the application package and begin your application
Complete the application by following the instructions
All fields with a red asterisk are compulsory. This means you will not be allowed to proceed if left blank or incorrect information is supplied.
Confirmation of receipt of the application is issued automatically once the process is completed and submitted.
Then, Upload all relevant supporting documents in their right format
Remember there is NO APPLICATION OR PROCESSING FEE AT WSU
