For applicants seeking undergraduate or graduate admission, every document must be sent to the University of South Africa (UNISA) by the application deadlines of October 14 and November 14, 2024, respectively.

 

Supporting Documents for Unisa Online Admissions 2024-2025

During the online application process for the Unisa admission 2024–2025, you must upload a number of documents. You should be aware that Unisa does not accept applications in paper form. All admissions applications, along with any supporting or attached documents, must be submitted electronically through the online application tool at www.unisa.ac.za.

In addition to the supporting documents indicated below, specific requirements can call for more. Unisa retains the right to request original documents at any moment during the admissions process and to examine provided supporting documents to ensure their accuracy. According to the University of South Africa’s Student Disciplinary Code, submitting falsified documents is prohibited.

All first-time applicants must scan and upload the following documents to a laptop or any electronic machine:

Republic of South African Applicants

  • A Certified Copy of the Senior Certificate or National Senior Certificate
  • A Certified Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
  • A Certified Copy of your ID document
  • A Certified Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
  • Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

Non-Republic of South African Applicants

  • Copy of your school qualifications.
  • Copy of your tertiary academic qualifications (if applicable)
  • Copy of your passport
  • Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
  • Original sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
  • M30 form – Application for a Certificate of Conditional Exemption (ONLY for admission to bachelor degree studies) (PDF 157KB) and supporting documents if you are applying for a certificate of exemption

Please be informed that any documents uploaded after the closing date for 2024 admissions will not be accepted by the University of South Africa (UNISA).

 

 

Unisa Application Fee For 2024-2025

For online applications, Unisa charges an R125.00 non-refundable fee. Use both the student number and the reference number for the application fee. Send the proof of payment to susdepid@unisa.ac.za after using the proper Unisa payment method or channel.

The application fee is a one-time payment, thus if you already have a Unisa student number for a formal qualification, you are exempt from doing so.

Even if you decide not to study with Unisa, are not admitted to Unisa, or are not able to be provided a spot owing to space constraints, the Unisa application fee is not refundable. Cash is not accepted at any of Unisa’s offices.

For applicants seeking undergraduate or graduate degrees, the application fee is due on October 14 and November 14 of this year, respectively.
