UNISA 2024/2025 Applications Now Open

The University of South Africa, also known as UNISA, is a prestigious institution located in South Africa and is now accepting enrollment for the academic year 2024–2025. UNISA is currently accepting all applications for the intake of 2024–2025, and the earlier you enrol, the better, as no late applications will be considered beyond the closing date. UNISA’s first semester of the 2024–2025 academic year opens on November 14th, 2024.

UNISA Second Semester Online Application 2024-2025

Applications for selected undergraduate, honours, postgraduate diploma, master’s, and doctoral qualifications at the University of South Africa, UNISA, for the second semester of 2024–2025 are no longer being accepted. However, applications for semester two  2 of the short learning programs are still being accepted from now until July 14, 2024.

UNISA First Semester Online Application Date 2024-2025

Applications for admission to the University of South Africa, UNISA for the academic year 2024–2025 must be submitted by the closing date. You may submit an application through the appropriate Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college or online through Unisa during the same application period if you are an applicant wanting to enrol in classes at a TVET college under the Unisa-TVET agreement. No applications will be accepted after November 14th, 2024, for the University of South Africa.

The most suitable time and date for Grade 12 students to apply for UNISA admission to undergraduate degrees (higher certificates, diplomas, and degrees) for the 2024 academic year is until October 14, 2024.

 

UNISA Late Applications For 2024-2025

Due to UNISA’s decision to close the online application portal for late applications in 2024, UNISA will not accept any applications or documents that are submitted after the application end date. Obviously, you’ll need to reapply during the 2025–2026 application period.

 

UNISA Online Application Fee For 2024-2025

For only first-time candidates at Unisa, the non-refundable application fee for self-help and online UNISA applications is R125.00. For the academic years 2024–2025, no returning UNISA student is needed to pay the online application fee. Even if you decide not to study through Unisa or are not admitted to UNISA, this application cost is not refundable.After the application period’s deadline for the first semester of 2024, no application late fee will be taken. Thereafter, no application will be processed

How to Pay UNISA Application Fee 2024-2025

The non-application fee of R125 must be paid by prospective candidates who are submitting their first UNISA application by bank deposit, debit card, credit card, Unisa web credit card payment, or electronic funds transfer (EFT).

UNISA Application Documents Required  For 2024-2025

You need to provide the documents below for 2024-2025 admissions at the University of South Africa

  • A copy of your academic transcript (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
  • Your transcript(s) from your tertiary institution (if applicable) (Internet copies will not be allowed.)
  • (RSA pupils) a copy of your identification document or passport (international students)
  • A copy of your divorce decree or marriage certificate, as relevant (if applicable)
  • Sworn translations are needed if the documents aren’t in Afrikaans or English.

  • Read the instructions from Step 1 to Step 3
  • Click on the “Apply for Admission” Option
  • Read the instructions on the page that opens very carefully before you proceed to the next stage.
  • Click on first-time Unisa Applicants/ Returning Applicants
  • Enter your passport or ID number
  • Fill in your details with accurate information
  • Upload the documents that are applicable to you
  • After a successful application, a student number would be generated automatically.
