How to Apply Online at UNISA For 2024-2025

For the academic cycle 2024–2025, the University of South Africa, UNISA, has formally opened its online application portal to all domestic and international students desiring to enrol in the courses the university has to offer. Only online applications will be accepted at the University of South Africa (UNISA) between September 1 and November 14, 2024, for the cycle of admission for 2024–2025. The University of South Africa, UNISA, does not review applications sent by email, fax, or postal service for admission. You are now encouraged to read this post to understand how to use UNISA’s online application tool to submit your online application form for 2024–2025.

Is Unisa Open For 2024 Applications?

This is a question that many students and applicants face every year.

We can unequivocally state that the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic cycle will be open to all undergraduate applicants at the University of South Africa, UNISA, effective September 1. Postgraduate applications at UNISA, on the other hand, will be open on September 11 this year, rather than September 1 as is the case with undergraduate applications.

From April 1 until July 14, 2024, all new and returning students will be able to apply for the second semester of the 2024 academic year.

Unisa Application 2024 Opening Date

All undergraduate and postgraduate applications for the academic intake 2024-2025 are expected to be accepted through the University of South Africa’s (UNISA) online application system from 1 September to 14 November 2024. To apply to the University of South Africa, UNISA, go to www.unisa.ac.za and use a smart machine, such as a mobile phone or laptop with a compatible web browser. You must have your identity documents with you, such as a copy of your ID card if you are a South African citizen and the first page of your passport if you are an international student. Applying online is never difficult, especially if you follow the directions and prompts provided by the Unisa online application tool.

Do Unisa Applications Require an application fee For 2024-2025

The payment of the application fee is an essential aspect of the Unisa application and admission process. Even though an application fee is required when applying to enrol in a diploma, higher certificate, bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma, master’s, or PhD program, not all applicants are obligated to pay it.

The Unisa application cost is a one-time payment; once paid, you are assigned a student number and do not have to pay it again if you reapply. This is to confirm that the non-refundable Unisa application fee is only to be paid by first-time or fresh candidates.

All new applicants for the 2024 intake must pay an R125 application fee via the UNISA online application system. An application form for the 2024-2025 academic year will not be processed until the R125.00 application fee is paid.
