How To Do 2024-2025 Late Applications at TUT

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has formally announced the Late Application date for the academic year 2024–2025 due to a few unfilled courses. This information is to assist applicants who may not have been able to complete their application or who may have missed the first application window.

First things first: Is it even possible?

Yes, but with a caveat. Late applications at TUT are accepted only if there are spaces available in your chosen program. Popular programs are less likely to have vacancies, so temper your expectations and research alternative options if needed.

TUT Late Application for 2024-2025 Study Period

Late applications to Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) will only be accepted if there are still openings during the late application period. It is necessary to recognize that applications for admission to TUT will only be processed per the availability of slot/space in the chosen course and the requirements and qualifications related to that particular course.

TUT Late Application Date and Time for 2024-2025 Study Year

The TUT administration states that late applications will be accepted from January 20 to February 27, 2024, at midnight. But once a course or qualification is filled, it will be closed. Since you are not the only applicant seeking the desired qualification, it is hereby advised that you complete the application as soon as possible.

Guidelines for Late Applications: Submission Requirements

You must submit a fully completed application form to TUT, along with recently certified copies of your original identity document and your highest academic results or your (National) Senior Certificate, to be considered for a late application. The certification can be obtained at the closest post office or police station and should not be more than a year old. If you are applying for a late admission, you must have an R240 administrative fee or a non-refundable application. Before the deadline, this payment must be made via the authorized channel or platform. After making a payment, you must upload the receipt through the application portal.

Space and Program Accommodations Are Limited

TUT indicates that late applications are only taken into consideration if there is room in the desired programs. Because the university can only accept a certain number of students per program, applications must be submitted on time. It is important to remember that not all programs are accepting applications for the 2024 late intake. There are just a handful that are space-constrained and still open. Fulfilling the requirements for entry does not even ensure acceptance; instead, each applicant will be evaluated based on the space availability standards for the selected qualifications.

TUT 2024 Entry Requirements for Admission

All late applicants must satisfy the fundamental requirements for admission, which include passing the Senior Certificate English proficiency exam (minimum additional language requirement). You must fulfill the specific admission requirements of each course to be considered for admission. Academic achievement is the basis for admission to TUT. To be eligible to study at TUT, you must have an APS score of at least 14.

The university highlights the different admission requirements for various courses with a table that shows the performance levels needed to get into different study levels.
