PLANNING FOR THE APPLICATION DEADLINES AT THE VAAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

Prospective students can begin applying to the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) from April 1, through to January 30, 2025. All applicants—undergraduate and graduate—from South Africa and other countries are eligible to use this application window. Due to the restricted space, applicants are urged to start their applications as soon as possible.

The Vaal University of Technology online application year 2024 will be open to all undergraduate and postgraduate applicants from April 1 to January 30, 2025. We are thus urging all prospective students to submit their applications for the 2024 academic year as soon as possible, either online or in hard copy, to secure their admission slot.

Open programs: Applications are now open for programs across various faculties, including Applied and Computer Sciences, Engineering, Human Sciences, and Management Sciences.
Faculty highlights:
- Applied and Computer Sciences: Dive into the world of science with programs like Analytical Chemistry and Biotechnology, or explore the digital landscape with Environmental Studies and Information Technology.
- Engineering: Unleash your inner inventor! All departments and programs within the Faculty of Engineering are open for late applications, except for extended programs that are already filled.
- Human Sciences: Express yourself through the visual arts! Apply to any program in the Visual Arts Department, whether it’s Fine Art, Graphic Design, Fashion, or Photography.
- Management Sciences: Hone your financial skills with programs like Financial Information Systems, Cost and Management Accounting, and Internal Auditing, offered by the Accountancy Department.
Eligibility: Make sure you meet the program’s minimum admission requirements before applying.

HOW TO APPLY AT VUT 2024-2025:

Complete the application form in full and answer all questions.
Write in plain block letters in the squares and use a black pen.
Mark only the appropriate answer with an X in the squares where options are given

THE FOLLOWING MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR FORM:

Certified copy of South African identity document.
Certified copy of final Grade 11 or any Grade 12 results.
Application Fee of R100 (non-refundable).
Application forms without proof of payment will not be accepted. NB: In case of applications submitted by mail.

ADMISSION SELECTION CRITERIA

To avoid disappointment, prospective students are urged to apply as early as possible before the closing date.
Make sure that VUT offers the course you are interested in (see overleaf) and that you adhere to the admission requirements.
Initial selection will be based on final Grade 11 or any Grade 12 results (final, mid-year, and/or 3rd quarter).
