UMP Late Application Closing Date for 2024/2025

The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) is giving applicants who were not able to apply during the first application session for the 2024–2025 academic year another chance. Considering the admission list and the availability of space, the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) feels there is still a need to reopen their applications even though the general application is officially closed. The University of Mpumalanga has extended the closing date for applications for the 2024 academic year to Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

UMP Late Application Date For 2024-2025

The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) only accepts late applications for a short period due to the limited number of courses and space available. On January 1, 2024, the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) will enable the application portal once more for thirty-one days. If all requirements are satisfied, applicants can access the application portal and submit their applications for consideration.

Is the admission Requirements necessary for late applications?

The only condition that differs from the main application window is the application dates. Prospective late applicants should meet the minimum and the faculty’s requirements to gain admission into the university. The requirements do not change because of the late applications.

Who to apply for late application at the University of Mpumalanga (UMP):

This application window does not apply to everybody. Those who were not able to apply during the application window. Previous applicants who were denied could change their courses after re-checking the admission requirements and re-applying during this period.

B.ED in Foundation Phase Teaching

31 October 2023

All Undergraduate programmes

    30 November 2023

Postgraduate Programmes

31 January 2024

 

UMP Online Application Process for 2024-2025

Follow the steps below to apply for late admissions in 2024

  • Visit the official website @www.ump.ac.za.
  • At the top of the page, locate the “STUDY WITH US” tab
  • Select Application Process from the drop box and click on the online application
  • On the new page click on the tab “ Click here to apply
  • Provide your data in the spaces provided and click “Next” to continue with your application process
  • Enter your academic results together with subjects and click next
  • Click on the “Next” tab after capturing your educational history
  • Applicants can now choose two study courses or programmes. Add the qualification and click “Next” thereafter
  • Before you proceed, verify your application details. Click “Next” when all is verified
  • Create a strong Personal Identification Number (PIN ). it shouldn’t exceed five digits.
  • Click on the I accept tab two times. Checkbox and click Submit Application after
  • Upload all the required documents using Dropbox. choose the ones applicable to your qualification. Click “Next” thereafter to continue
  • Click “Load/View Document” >> “Upload document” >> “Choose/Browse file” Go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click “Save”
  • Complete your application by clicking on the Complete Upload tab
  • A confirmation page opens. This indicates a complete and successful submission of the online forms.

These are the documents to be uploaded during the online application

  • certified copies of your identity document,
  • Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate and all other relevant documents.
  • proof of non-refundable application fee (RSA/SADC Applicants R150, other African Countries R350 and countries outside Africa R500)
