TUT Distance Learning Online Application 2024/2025

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Distance Learning Department advises all prospective students who desire to enroll in the department for the 2024/2025 academic year to start their application process as soon as the university announces the precise opening date for the admission portal. How to Apply for Distance Learning at TUT

Prospective applicants must follow the following steps to apply for admission

  • Step 1: Consult the Distance Education Prospectus for the DIPLOMA IN FIRE TECHNOLOGY​ to ensure that you comply with the Admission requirements before continuing with STEP 2.
  • Step 2: Pre-application form for the Diploma in Fire Technology
    Download and print the Pre-application form from the official website https://www.tut.ac.za/s-faculties/humanities/Distance-Ed/Documents/2022/3c-Pre-application.pdf
  • Attach the pre-application form together with all supporting documents to an e-mail and quote the following in the subject line:

Pre-application Opening Dates for 2024/2025

2 September 2023 is the closing date to submit the pre-application form and supporting documentation.
(NB: Limited space is available for the programme.  Apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment). 

When to Expect Feedback from TUT: If the applicant’s pre-application screening is successful, he or she will receive e-mailed communication including instructions on how to apply formally online within 10 working days. The applicant will receive further instructions or communication from the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Distance Education Unit.

Tut Re-admission for 2024/2025

 Durban and Cape Town students who were inactive or not registered prior to and up to the first semester of 2023, may apply for re-admission for 2024/2025 and will only be allowed to register for 2023 after and if their re-admission applications were approved by the Academic Department.​
