Applications commenced on August 19th, 2025, and will close on November 22, 2025, at noon South African Standard Time (SAST). Do not wait till the last minute! You cannot check your status until you have submitted your application

How to Check Your Application Status After Grade 12 Results

If you haven’t heard back about your application within 5 working days (120 hours) after your final Grade 12 results, visit the application dashboard of the University of South Africa with your login details to check your status. Your status should be updated within 48 hours of the Grade 12 results release. You can see if you’ve been accepted, or declined, or if your application is still under review.

To check the application status of the University of South Africa, follow the steps below

Log in to the site at www.unisa.ac.za
Click on the “Check Admission Status”
Enter your ID number. This is the number given during the application process.
The applicant’s details will appear on the screen
Courses that you applied for will appear with statuses showing whether you qualify or do not qualify for admission in 2026
Click on the “REQUEST OFFER” tab
You will only be given one chance to choose one qualification
Make sure that you click on the qualification that you want to be admitted.
