When to Apply for University of the Western Cape 2026

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is now accepting applications for the 2026 academic year. The application window is open online from April 2 to September 30, 2025. Be sure to submit your application and all required documents on time, as some courses may close before the September deadline. Late applications will not be considered.

Key Application Dates For UWC Admission 2026

You are required to apply by the following deadline to be considered for admission to the University of the Western Cape for the 2026 academic intake

• Bachelor of Dentistry & Oral Health: August 31, 2025
• School of Government postgraduate programs: August 31, 2025
• BA Honours Sports Recreation & Exercise Science, BA Honours Biokinetics, and BSC Honours Biokinetics: July 31, 2025
• All other courses: September 30, 2025

How to Apply

Follow the steps below to apply before the deadline

• Go to UWC’s application portal at www.uwc.ac.za.
• Click on “Apply Now” to start your application.
• Carefully read the application instructions and checklist in the “I ACCEPT” box.
• Select and click on the “New Application” option.
• Enter your identity number.
• Browse UWC’s programs and choose a course only if you meet its requirements.
• Complete the online application form.
• Provide the following:
  • Final high school results or current Grade 12 marks
  • Transcripts from previous studies (if applicable)
  • A certified copy of your ID
  • A certified copy of a valid passport
  • Email Address
  • A working cell Phone number
• Submit your application.
• After submission, you will receive a confirmation email with your application reference number
