Application to study at the University of South Africa for the second semester of the academic year is now open to all Unisa returning students. Complete the second Semester online application form by visiting the UNISA online application page at www.unisa.ac.za. Ensure you submit the UNISA second-semester online application form for 2024-2025 together with all the required documents within the application dates.

Again, there are two semesters in the University of South Africa’s 2024 academic year, with the second semester starting from April 1 to July 2024.

 

Please confirm that you meet the statutory and college-specific admission requirements as well as the required academics points score (APS) for your selected qualification(s) before completing your Unisa second-semester online application form for 2024–2025. Applications are now being accepted from all returning students at the University of South Africa (UNISA) for a number of undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate diplomas, master’s, and doctorate degrees for the second semester of 2024–2025. Up until July 14, 2024, short course learning programs are also still being accepted. The second semester’s requirements and offerings are open until July 14, 2024. Unisa 2024 Application Dates For Second Semester

The University of South Africa, UNISA online application for the second semester is open from April 01 to July 14 2024. This is to allow all returning students to register for their second-semester modules. This however does not preclude new applicants to apply for some selected qualifications. The online application for UNISA’s second semester is anticipated to close on July 14, 2024.

 

When To Apply For Second Semester 2024 At Unisa

Anyone who wants to start a new qualification between April 1 and July 14, 2024, must submit an application for admission. This includes Unisa applicants who are applying for the first time as well as students who are switching to a new qualification and/or speciality. You must submit an admissions application if you are completing a higher certificate and wish to continue with additional undergraduate study.

You must reapply if you previously applied for admission, were offered a space, but did not register or accept the offer for any reason.
Anyone who wants to enrol in classes at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college must apply for admission in accordance with the Unisa-TVET agreement.

Apply For the Second Semester At Unisa For 2024-2025

Applications for certain undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees, as well as short courses and learning programs, are accepted for semester two (2) from April 1 until July 14, 2024. There might be certain exceptions to the aforementioned qualifications.

How much is the application fee for UNISA second semester 2024-2025?

Any interested students applying for the Unisa Second Semester must include a non-refundable application fee of R125.00. This is required of all applicants both South African and international students, Undergraduate and postgraduate candidates. When paying for the Unisa semester 2 online application fee, please use the student number you receive from Unisa and the application fee reference number

Application Documents Required  Unisa Second Semester For 2024-2025

The following documents are usually required of all applicants beginning a new qualification at the University of South Africa (Unisa):

  • A Certified Copy of the Senior Certificate or National Senior Certificate
  • A Certified Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
  • A Certified Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
  • A Certified Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
  • Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

 

Unisa Online Application Process 2024-2025

Follow the steps below to apply:

  • Go to www.unisa.ac.za
  • There are two options:
    1.  Click on Apply to start immediately Or
    2. Put the cursor on the ADMISSIONS drop box list. You will see options. choose the appropriate one and read the instructions thoroughly.
  • If you choose option one then, proceed by selecting your qualifications
  • Click on Start the Process shaded in red
  • Read the instructions on the What’s New for 2024 page
  • once you are certain about your career, choose your qualifications and select APPLY for admission
  • Select and Click on the link ” CLICK HERE to apply online
  • Now you can start with your applications using the application tool
  •  Select an Undergraduate/Honours qualification or a Master’s/Doctoral qualification
  • Enter your student Number. You will be given a link to retrieve your student number if you have forgotten it
  • Complete the required field with your personal details including your date of birth
  • Click Continue
  • Please select your qualification choice and check that you meet the admission requirements for this choice. Proceed by clicking on continue
  • Enter your RSA identity number or
    •                 Foreign identity number
    •                  Passport number
  • Complete the entire application process and upload the required documents. Compulsory fields are marked with a *
  • Pay the Unisa R125  application fee online or offline

Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification. If you don’t meet these requirements, you may want to consider alternative qualifications.

Some Unisa qualifications have limited spaces available. Meeting the general and/or specific admission requirements for a qualification does not guarantee that you will be offered a space for the 2024 academic year
