UJ International Online Applications 2024/2025: Do you intend to apply to the University of Johannesburg’s undergraduate programs as a non-South African applicant? All potential overseas students are invited to submit their applications, either manually or electronically, to the university for the 2023–2024 admissions cycle, which is set to begin on June 1, 2023.

International Application closing dates in 2024/2025

The conclusion date for all undergraduate programs for 2024 is set for October 29, 2023. Applications for housing, which end on the same day as academic admissions, are also accepted by applicants outside of South Africa. Late Application is not considered for international applicants.

How much does the international application fee cost

Submit a completed application form with supporting documents together with a non-refundable application fee of R200.00. If Applicants apply online, there is no charge for that services. The banking details for international applicants’ payment of this application are provided.

Application Supporting Documents

  • Final School leaving results when applying with international credentials or currently in Grade 12 (Final Grade 11 results)
  • Valid Passport Identity Document or Birth Certificate
  • Sworn English Translation of documents (Documents issued in any language other than English)
  • Provide proof of English Proficiency where English was not used as a medium of learning and teaching

Note:

  • The University prefers the applicant to take the IELTS at an overall score of 6 and TOEFL at an average score of 80–104 for Undergraduate programmes) Alternatively, you may elect to write the University of Johannesburg English Language Programme Test (UJELP).

UJ Admission Requirements

In order to study for a South African degree applicants are required to have achieved a South African National Senior Certificate with a degree endorsement. All International applicants with high school qualifications achieved outside of the Republic of South Africa require a certificate of exemption from the Matriculation Board of South Africa for admission into undergraduate studies.
