When Will Unisa close 2025 Undergraduate Applications?

The University of South Africa (UNISA) application is still open for 2025 admissions, attracting thousands of applicants worldwide. However, the university has announced the closing date for undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, master’s, and doctoral qualifications for the academic year 2025 and expects all application materials and documents to be submitted by the stipulated dates.

Unisa 2025 Applications Now Open

Through an active online application system, the University of South Africa (Unisa) now accepts thousands of applications for the academic year 2025. You must be aware of the date on which Unisa will formally close the application portal for admissions in 2025 due to the capacity, which suggests that only a small number of applicants will be allowed into the various programmes.

Unisa opened its application window for Higher Certificates, Advanced Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, and undergraduate Degree programs on 19 August 2024. Prospective applications interested in applying for undergraduate courses/degree have until 11 October 2024 to submit all application documents

When Will Unisa close 2024 Undergraduate Applications

Unisa will close its undergraduate online applications on 11 October 2024. Students applying for undergraduate qualifications must submit all necessary documents, including proof of payment, by that date. Late applications will not be processed once the application deadline is met.

Who Qualifies to Apply For Unisa 2025 Admissions?

University Qualifications Criteria

Applicant must be a first-time or fresh applicant.
Current students can modify their qualifications.
Transfer students, former students, and others can apply.

Every applicant is required to submit one application for a maximum of two (2) study courses. If you are eligible for the two courses, you will receive an offer with the opportunity to choose only one of the two options. You have at least 10 days after receiving an offer to accept or reject it for the upcoming academic year.

Provide each a certified copy of the following:

A copy of your previous school results
A copy of any tertiary education academic records
A copy of ID/Passport/Birth certificate
Sworn translations of any documents that are not in English or Afrikaans\
An email address and a phone number
Residential and postal address

Going to the Unisa application portal at www.unisa.ac.za
Select “admissions and click on it
Click on “Apply for admission”
Select “undergraduate admissions”
Click on “Start the process”
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the form
Complete all required field
Submit a completed form
Upload all required documents
Proceed to pay the application fee

Who Pays Unisa Application fee

New or first-time applicants must pay an R135 non-refundable application fee. You won’t be given a student number until Unisa has verified your payment during the application period. The application cost may be paid online or by wire transfer to a designated bank account.
