NSFAS New Application 2025-2026

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme, or NSFAS for short, is an organization that collaborates with many colleges and universities to provide financial aid to students who are enrolled or want to enroll in a university or Tvet College. The NSFAS administration has formally launched and released the application portal, inviting new students and applicants to complete and submit their applications as soon as possible for various financial support for the academic year 2025-2026.

NSFAS Open For 2025 Applications

All new students who require financial assistance to complete their degrees are eligible to apply for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS bursary), which will be open from September 20, 2024 and close at the end of January 2025. The NSFAS application is now available online. NSFAS assistance is only accessible to South African students with an average annual income of R350,000 or less.

NSFAS Income Threshold For 2025 Applications

Students who have not yet received approval for the NSFAS bursary program are considered NSFAS new applicants. Those who intend to apply for NSFAS financial support must be willing to provide proof that their annual income is not more than R350 000.

Physically challenged individuals who are looking for NSFAS bursaries must not make more than R600,000.

Additionally eligible to apply for an NSFAS bursary are new students who began their studies before 2018 and whose household income does not exceed R122 000 annually.

You must have your cell phone number, email address, and cell phone. If you do not have this information available at the time of the application, you are not eligible to apply for an NSFAS bursary.
