How to fill out Nsfas online application form 2024-2025

Is it difficult to fill out the NSFAS application form on paper? Are you applying for the first time and thus having difficulty proving the importation required on the form? We are here to assist such applicants with paper-based application challenges and other critical NSFAS funding solutions.

The NSFAS management would like to inform all prospective applicants that the application form for 2023 is now available for download. Prospective applicants could apply for the NSFAS bursary online or by hand for the 2024-2025 academic year. The form was released by NSFAS management on September 28, 2023, at 4 p.m. We urge all interested students to apply as soon as possible because the early bird catches the best worm.

NSFAS Application Closing Date for 2024-2025

All documents, including the hard copy form, academic certificates, and other supporting documents, must be submitted to the NSFAS office by January 31, 2024, using the designated postal and email addresses. You are also reminded that the scheme’s management will not accept late applications for 2024, so meeting the deadline is in everyone’s best interest.

NSFAS Application Requirements For 2024-2025

Meeting application requirements such as eligibility and academic criteria improves one’s chances of receiving NSFAS funding. As a result, it is critical that you read the requirements and ensure that you meet any of the listed criteria before beginning your application.

  1. All South African citizens
  2. All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  3. Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  4. A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  5. Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
  6. You need to have passed Grades 9 to 12 to receive NSFAS funding to study at a TVET college and Grade 12 to receive funding to study at a university or TVET college.
  7. If you are approved for NSFAS funding, you will be required to meet the academic admission requirements of the university or TVET college before NSFAS allocates any funding to you

Nsfas Application Documents for 2024-2025

If you want to apply for funding from NSFAS, you must submit the following documents along with the fully completed application form:

  1. A certified copy of your ID that is no older than three months and a completed consent form (All Applicants)
  2. Cеrtіfіеd copy оf your ID, nоt оldеr than 3 months (SASSA recipient)
  3. A signed аnd completed соnѕеnt fоrm (SASSA recipient)
  4. Cеrtіfіеd ID copies оf раrеnt/ѕ, guardian, spouse not оldеr thаn 3 mоnthѕ (Dependent)
  5. Proof of іnсоmе of a parent, guаrdіаn оr ѕроuѕе (рауѕlір оr appointment letter) for dependent applicants
  6. Proof оf income (рауѕlір or appointment lеttеr) for Employed and self-sufficient applicants together with 3 уearѕ IRP5

How to Submit the supporting documents:

Those who prefer paper-based applications have four options for submitting their documents. They are as follows:

  1. In-person Submission: hand in your completed application form and supporting documents to the Financial Aid Office (FAO) at your university or Tvet college.
  2. Email Submissions: @ apply@nsfas.org.za.
  3. Fax Delivery: 086 644 2822.
